Approving a Liquor-Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license with one condition for Filter Brewing Company, LLC, d/b/a Dual Citizen Brewing Company (License ID #20170000657) at 725 Raymond Avenue.

WHEREAS, Filter Brewing Company, LLC d/b/a Dual Citizen Brewing Company (License ID #20170000657) applied for a Liquor-Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license for the premises located at 725 Raymond Avenue in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the licensee also applied for an Entertainment A, Liquor On Sale-Sunday, Malt Off-Sale (Brewery) and a Malt On Sale (Brewery Taproom) license; and
WHEREAS, the licensee was able to obtain three (3) out of five (5) possible petition signatures for sixty percent (60%) support of a Liquor-Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Safety and Inspections received no objections to the issuance of the license; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the application is in order and there are no grounds for denial of the license; now, therefore, be it,
RESOLVED, a Liquor-Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license is hereby granted with one condition to Filter Brewing Company, LLC d/b/a Dual Citizen Brewing Company (License ID #20170000657) for the premises located at 725 Raymond Avenue in Saint Paul:
1. Per City of Saint Paul Legislative Code 411.02, the definition of Entertainment A is, “Amplified or nonamplified music and/or singing by performers without limitation as to number, a group singing participated in by patrons of the establishment.” (includes karaoke) Entertainment A license does not allow for patron and/or performance dances.
