WHEREAS, Absolute Towing & Recovery, Incx d/b/a Absolute Towing & Recovery, Incx (License ID #20170002221), a wrecker and tow truck service licensed pursuant to Saint Paul Legislative Code Chapter 361, has requested approval of an impound lot which is outside the limits of the City of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Legislative Code § 362.12 prohibits a licensee from towing a motor vehicle from private property under order of one not the owner or operator of the vehicle to a impound lot which is outside the limits of the City of Saint Paul unless the location of the lot has been specifically approved by the city council; and
WHEREAS, the requested impound lot is located at 2757 Hudson Road in the City of Oakdale, which is outside the limits of the City of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Safety and Inspections has no objection to the location of the requested impound lot; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the location of the requested impound lot will not bear adversely on the health, safety, morals and general welfare of the community; now, therefore be it,
RESOLVED, the request of Absolute Towing & Recovery, Incx d/b/a Absolute Towing & Recovery, Incx (License ID #20170002221) to tow motor vehicles to the impound lot located at 2757 Hudson Road in the City of Oakdale is hereby granted.
