Title

Pertaining to an amendment to agreement with GEI to provide additional structural assessment of McCarrons Water Treatment Plant.

 

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners entered into a professional services agreement with GEI Consultants, Inc. dated February 29, 2016 to provide a structural assessment of McCarrons Water Treatment Plant at a cost not to exceed $59,000 (the Agreement); and

 

WHEREAS, GEI Consultants, Inc. has faithfully complied with all requirements and conditions of the Agreement; and

 

WHEREAS, the findings of the assessment indicate that additional timber piles should be evaluated in order to provide a more complete evaluation of the treatment plant foundation; and

 

WHEREAS, GEI Consultants, Inc. provided a proposal dated February 28, 2017 to provide for such additional assessment at a cost not to exceed $44,600; and

 

WHEREAS, the Board desires to enter into an amendment to the Agreement with GEI Consultants, Inc. to provide for such additional assessments described in said proposal, and to also extend the term of the Agreement to October 31, 2017; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul hereby requests that City of Saint Paul Contracts and Analysis draft an amendment to agreement with GEI Consultants, Inc. additional assessments of the timber piles under the McCarrons Water Treatment Plant, as described in its proposal of February 28, 2017, at a cost not to exceed $44,600, which will result in a total not to exceed cost of $103,600; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board requests that said amendment extend the term of the Agreement to October 31, 2017, and that it include all other terms and conditions as may be required; and, be it

 

FINALLY RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Board are hereby authorized and directed to execute said amendment to agreement following approval by the assistant city attorney.
