Body

WHEREAS on January 4, 2017, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File Nos. AR 16-81 to ratify the assessment for Collection of Vacant Building Registration fees billed during March 7 to June 21, 2016 at 1564 McAfee Street. (File No. VB1702, Assessment No. 178801); and

WHEREAS, the property at 1564 McAfee Street, being described as: Sylvan Heights Addition Lot 24 Blk 4, with the property identification number 22-29-22-22-0078 was assessed an amount of $2240.00; and

WHEREAS, Department of Safety and Inspections staff recommends deleting the assessment because the owner was not properly noticed and was occupying the property during the time of assessment and vacant building file should have been closed;

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer concurs with the recommendation; Now, Therefore, Be It

RESOLVED, that the reduction of $2240.00, plus any accrued interests, be deleted.  Council File Nos. RLH AR 16-81 is hereby amended to reflect this change.
