Approving adverse action against the Auto Repair Garage license held by Hertz Corporation, d/b/a Hertz Rent A Car at 1420 Davern Street.

WHEREAS, the Auto Repair Garage license held by Hertz Corporation d/b/a Hertz Rent A Car (License ID #19980005890) for the premises located at 1420 Davern Street in Saint Paul was the subject of a Notice of Intent to Suspend License dated December 15, 2016 stating the licensee failed to pay delinquent license and late fees; and
WHEREAS, per Saint Paul Legislative Code §310.05 (m) (2), the licensing office also recommended a $500.00 matrix penalty for failure to submit required information to maintain the license; and
WHEREAS, the licensee did respond to the Notice of Intent to Suspend License to request and extension to pay the delinquent license and late fees and submit required information; and
WHEREAS, the licensee then failed to follow-up to pay the delinquent license and late fees and submit the required information; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Suspend License stated that if the licensee failed to pay the delinquent license and late fees and submit the required information or request a hearing by December 26, 2016, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the Auto Repair Garage license held by Hertz Corporation d/b/a Hertz Rent A Car is hereby suspended for failure to pay delinquent license and late fees.
FURTHER RESOLVED, the licensee is ordered to pay a matrix penalty of $500.00 for failure to submit required information in order to maintain the license.
FINALLY RESOLVED, the license will remain suspended until all delinquent license fees and penalties are paid in full and all required information is submitted to the Department of Safety and Inspections.
