Title

Amending the financing and spending plans in the Office of Financial Services - General Government Accounts in the Office of Financial Services by transferring $100,000 out of contingency to conduct the Fire Strategic Study.

Body

WHEREAS, the Fire Strategic Study is budgeted in a contingency reserve account, and

WHEREAS, there is a time sensitive need to begin this study in the beginning of 2017, and

WHERAS, the results of the study will impact the 2018 Fire Department Budget, and

WHEREAS, the removal of the Fire Strategic Study funds from the contingency reserve account in the amount proposed will not create a deficit, and

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.4 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available funds for transfer of appropriation funds of $100,000, and

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor, that $100,000 is available for transfer from the contingency reserve account to a consulting services account in the Office of Financial Services.
