Authorizing expenditures for food and beverage for several community engagement on-going programs in 2017.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department has several on-going programs that help create community partnerships including, but not limited to, the Junior Police Academy, Ambassadors Program, East/West African Academy, elder and cultural community meetings, National Night Out, Police Athletic/Activities League events and Explorers program; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Police Department has been granted funds from the St. Paul Police Foundation and anticipates donations in 2017 to support these programs including events where food and beverage is to be served in addition to occasional General Fund spending; and
BE IT ORDERED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to pay a portion of the costs of food and beverage associated with the above, in the amount not to exceed $2,000 from the General Fund and as allowed for within grant budget from the Saint Paul Police Foundation and other private and foundation donations.
