Preliminary Order setting the date of City Council public hearing for February 15, 2017 to include new above standard street lighting improvements in the Jackson Street improvement project, between 2nd Street and 11th Street, including the refurbishing of existing above standard lighting on the east side of Jackson between Kellogg and 6th. Also, approving the annual operation and maintenance costs for the new above standard lighting, which will be assessed to affected properties.
The Council of the City of Saint Paul, having received the report of the Mayor upon the above improvement and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $14,500,000.00 for this entire Capital improvement project, this includes the cost for above standard lighting. Since lighting assessments for the project have been prviously established, no additional assessments for the improvements will be levied for said above standard lighting. The annual operation and maintenance costs for the new above standard lighting will be determined separately and assessed to affected properties.
2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 15th day of February, 2017, at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul.
