Title

Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department for the $1,000 grant received from Walmart.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Fire Department applied for and received a grant of $1,000 to purchase carbon monoxide detectors from Walmart, and

 

WHEREAS, the Fire Department received approval to apply for this grant on Council Resolution 16-341; and

 

WHEREAS, the carbon monoxide detectors will be used for Project Safe Haven, which is a comprehensive fire and injury prevention program designed around the homeowner's self inspection of their homes, and

 

WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for this grant, and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $1,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2017 budget, and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the following additional changes be made to the 2017 budget:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts this grant from Walmart and hereby approves the changes to the 2017 budget referenced in this resolution.
