Approving the 2016 Urban Area Security Initiative Grant for $977,400 in the Department of Emergency Management.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has applied for and received a grant of $977,400 from the State of Minnesota for the 2016 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Grant to purchase CBRNE equipment, EOC equipment, and to provide staffing for the Department of Emergency Management, and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have already been established in the 2017 budget, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts this grant and authorizes the appropriate city officials to execute and implement the attached grant agreement for the 2016 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Grant.
