Authorizing the sale of a surplus office chair.

WHEREAS, Kim Ranweiler has been an employee of the City of Saint Paul, Office of Financial Services for 30 years; and
WHEREAS, Kim will be retiring from the City on 12/30/16 ; and
WHEREAS, she has asked whether she can take her office chair with her when she leaves; and
WHEREAS, the chair was originally purchased and customized for her, the chair is 12 years old and not part of the historic furniture in the Courthouse; and
WHEREAS, the chair will be surplus, will have no value to another employee and the City would pay to dispose of it; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Administrative Code Sec 24.03(A)(3)(b) permits employees to purchase surplus property, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council authorizes the sale of the office chair to Kim Ranweiler for the sum of $1.00.
