Title
Authorizing an increase in the Parks and Recreation Grant Fund Budget in the amount of $200,000 to reflect the multi-year Como Shuttle Bus Service Legacy Grant; and accepting the grant funds from the Metropolitan Council through the Clean Water Land and Legacy Amendment funds through the Parks and Trails program.

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation was previously granted permission to apply for (Res 14-1618), and has now been awarded a Legacy Grant in the amount of $200,000; and
WHEREAS, the original grant was awarded in July, 2015, in the amount of $100,000, to be used by June 30, 2018; and
WHEREAS, an additional award of $100,000 was received in July, 2016, with the term of the grant beginning upon execution and ending June 30, 2019, with the Department of Parks and Recreation applying for reimbursement of costs on a quarterly basis; and
WHEREAS, grant funding is for operational costs of the Como Shuttle Service; and
WHEREAS, the grant funding does not require a City match; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation desires to set up a financing and spending plan for the total award to date of $200,000 from this Metropolitan Council grant; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.01 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $200,000 in excess of those estimated in the current Grant Budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes acceptance of the grant funds and approves these amendments for the Life-to-date Grant Budget.
