Authorizing the Police Department to pay for travel costs for non-employees.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department has been granted funds from the St. Paul Police Foundation to support the community engagement activities; and
WHEREAS, the department would like representatives to attend the “Dedication of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture” in Washington, DC, on September 24, 2016 and would like to include six citizens from the Circle of Peace movement; and
BE IT ORDERED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to pay the cost of hotel and travel for the six citizens, in the amount not to exceed $5,000, from Accounting Unit 20023809.
