Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to solicit donations for the Right Track Program up to $50,000 to help cover program costs and provide opportunities for businesses and individuals to sponsor or provide in-kind services for program events and services throughout the year.
Body
WHEREAS, Chapter 41 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code sets forth the process for allowing employees of the City of Saint Paul to solicit funds and/or property for any employer-related or occupational-related purposes; and
WHEREAS, in the case of solicitations of more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) only the Mayor or designee or the council as a whole or designee of the council can make such solicitation; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to solicit businesses and individuals to donate to the Right Track program to sponsor events, cover program costs and provide in-kind services, and such donations will be separately accounted for and the donors appropriately recognized; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, Michael Hahm, and his designees, Trenton Henspeter, Brad Meyer and Kathy Korum, are hereby designated as individuals who may solicit funds on behalf of the Right Track youth jobs program up to $50,000. ...
