Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to enter into an agreement with Minnesota State Fair, which includes a promise of indemnification, for storage space for the storage of golf cars and beverage cars, for Saint Paul golf courses and two sail boats for Phalen Beach, at a cost of $3,396.00.

WHEREAS, The Department of Parks and Recreation is in need of storage space for equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Fair is willing to lease the Education Building to the City for the period of November 1, 2016 through April 1, 2017; and
WHEREAS, the negotiated rate of the lease is well under other rent pricing available in the market, but the Minnesota State Fair wishes to be indemnified for the term of the storage; and
WHEREAS, the City would have to pay more in rent at another location, and the City will benefit from the lower rates in this agreement with limited risk; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the appropriate city officials are authorized to enter into the agreement with the Minnesota State Fair for storage space, which includes a promise of indemnification.
