Honoring Senator Sandy Pappas for the League of Minnesota Cities Legislator of Distinction Award.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul relies on members of the Saint Paul legislative delegation to support the city’s legislative agenda; and
WHEREAS, Senator Sandy Pappas worked diligently during the 2016 Legislative Session to understand the issues facing not just the City of Saint Paul but Cities across Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Cities has selected Senator Pappas as a Legislator of Distinction for her great work on behalf of Minnesota Cities; and
WHEREAS, Senator Pappas was cited specifically for her consistent consultation with League staff on issues brought before the Pension Committee; and
WHEREAS, she is also known for her thoughtful consideration to all policy areas critical to the success and vitality of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, without the support of legislative leaders like Senator Pappas a strong state-local partnership would not be possible; and now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED the City of Saint Paul recognizes the League of Minnesota Cities’ Legislator of Distinction 2016 award to Senator Pappas and adds our sincere gratitude and congratulations.
