Amending RES 16-181 to extend the timeline regarding the Airbnb study.

WHEREAS, on January 21, 2016, the City Council passed RES 16-218 requesting the Department of Safety and Inspections and the Department of Planning and Economic Development (“Departments”) to study Airbnb and similar companies and how their operations align with current city ordinances; and
WHEREAS, RES 16-181 directed that the Departments bring forward a report of their findings and any suggested ordinance changes, if needed, by June 1, 2016; and
WHEREAS, additional time is needed to bring forth these findings, and the City Council is willing to extend the time.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that RES 16-181 is hereby amended to extend the timeline as follows:
1. The Departments shall bring findings and any suggested ordinance changes, if needed by July 1, 2016.
