Title

Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department for the hazardous materials emergency response contract with the State of Minnesota Department of Public Safety in the amount of $15,000, and extending the end date of the contract to September 30, 2017.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Fire Department received amendment #2 for the hazardous materials emergency response contract with the State of Minnesota Department of Public Safety to extend the end date of the contract to September 30, 2017, and

 

WHEREAS, the original amount of the contract of $120,000 per year has been increased by $15,000 for a total of $135,000, and

 

WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for this contract increase, and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriations funds of $15,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2016 budget, and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the following additions be made to the 2016 budget:

RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the changes to the 2016 budget, and

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute the amendment #2 for the hazardous materials emergency response contract with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety as provided by the Fire Department; a copy of said agreement is to be kept on file and of record in the Fire Department.
