Title
Amending the financing and spending plans in the General Government budget in the amount of $800,000 for completion of the Local Area Network (LAN) project.
Body
WHEREAS, RES PH 15-121 established the 2015 budget for replacement of the Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure through capital lease financing; and
WHEREAS, the LAN project was not completed in 2015 and unspent lease proceeds remain; and
WHEREAS, in order to complete the LAN project, the 2016 budget needs to be amended to recognize the unspent lease proceeds; and
WHEREAS, this amendment allows the LAN project to be completed in accordance with the orginal budget plan for the project; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $800,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2016 budget; now
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Saint Paul City Council, upon recommendation of the Mayor, that the 2016 General Government budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, is hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
