Approving the use of Neighborhood STAR Year-Round Program funds for a project in Ward 6.
Body
WHEREAS, on April 20, 2016 the Neighborhood STAR Board reviewed a proposal from the District 2 Community Council for a security camera at Hazelwood and Maryland; and,
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Mayor and Saint Paul City Council to participate in the financing of this activity by providing a total of $16,831 in grant financing from the Ward 6 Neighborhood STAR Year-Round Program; and
WHEREAS, because the proposal is of substantial community significance, a waiver of STAR Guidelines requiring a $75 application fee and $1 to $1 match with non-city resources is being recommended;
RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby authorizes and directs the appropriate City officials to execute the necessary grant documents to implement this Resolution, subject to approval by the City Attorney; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, staff of the Department of Planning and Economic Development are further authorized and directed to proceed with all other actions necessary to implement this Resolution.
