Amending Council File RLH TA 15-121 pertaining to the Appealed Special Tax Assessment for Real Estate Project No. J1503C, Assessment No. 152002 at 601 WESTERN AVENUE NORTH.

WHEREAS on April 1, 2015, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File No. RLH TA 15-121, said Resolution being the Ratification of Appealed Special Tax Assessment for Real Estate Project No. J1503C, Assessment No. 152002 at 601 WESTERN AVENUE NORTH; and,
WHEREAS, the property at 601 Western Avenue North, being described as: Smiths Sub of Stinsns Div B 2 Lots 14 & 15 Blk 8, with the property identification number 36-29-23-21-0216 was assessed an amount of $36,750.50; and,
WHEREAS, property owner is requesting that this assessment be ratified and spread over numbers of years; and,
WHEREAS, property owner has made this request to Councilmember in Ward 1; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed the file and recommends approval of the assessment and spread the payments over 10 years; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the reduction of the whole amount, plus any accrued interests, be deleted and the Office of Financial Services will abate this from the 2016 property tax statement and reassess the assessment of $36,750.50 to spread the payments over 10 years. Council File No. RLH TA 15-121 is hereby amended to reflect this change.
