Authorizing the Fire Department to accept 10 child safety seats from the State of Minnesota - Office of Traffic Safety.

WHEREAS, the Fire Department applied for and received 10 child safety seats from the Minnesota Child Passenger Safety Program valued at $899.90, and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department would like to accept the 10 child safety seats from the State of Minnesota - Office of Traffic Safety, and
WHEREAS, the public purpose is to provide these child safety seats to low income families in Minnesota and provide child safety education to the recipients, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council, on behalf of the residents of Saint Paul, accept these 10 child safety seats from the State of Minnesota - Office of Traffic Safety and extend their sincere appreciation to this organization.
