Title

Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $6,000 to utilize STAR Grant funds received for purchase of ProWall Gaga Pit materials for the mobile recreation program.

 

Body

WHEREAS, on August 17, 2015, the Neighborhood STAR board reviewed proposals for STAR grant financing through the Neighborhood STAR Year-Round Program; and

 

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Parks and Recreation was granted $6,000 for the purchase of ProWall Gaga Pit materials for the mobile recreation program; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation agrees to manage and administer said funds for purchase of the ProWall Gaga Pit materials; and

 

WHEREAS, it is the desire of Parks and Recreation to establish a financing and spending budget for the project in the amount of $6,000; and

 

WHEREAS, a waiver to the STAR Guideline in regards to the $1 for $1 matching funds requirement was recommended per CF 15-1557; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $6,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2015 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $6,000 is available for appropriation in the 2015 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2015 budget, as therefore adopted by the Council, is hereby further amended.
