Authorizing an increase in the Parks and Recreation Grant Fund Budgets in the amount of $12,000 to reflect grant funding received from the Capitol Region Watershed District.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation (Parks) is seeking spending authority to fulfill an agreement with Capitol Region Watershed District; and
WHEREAS, Capitol Region Watershed District committed $12,000 in grant funds to the City of Saint Paul to conduct water-themed environmental education and stewardship with youth from low-income families at the Como Woodland Outdoor Classroom and Trout Brook Nature Sanctuary; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to accept this grant and amend the Grant Fund budget to reflect the change accordingly; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.01 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $12,000 in excess of those estimated in the current Grant Budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes acceptance of the grant funds and approves these amendments for the Life-to-date Grant Budget.
