Authorizing the Police Department to accept an extension for the 2015 Violent Crimes Enforcement Team (VCET) grant from Ramsey County.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department (SPPD) has entered into the Joint Powers Agreement with Ramsey County for the Violent Crime Enforcement Team (02-17064-I); and
WHEREAS, this agreement allows for SPPD participation and reimbursement of allowed expenses and as authorized (RES PH 14-79); and
WHEREAS, Ramsey County is entering into a grant amendment with the State of Minnesota to extend the grant and increase the grant amount and would like to extend this amendment to SPPD; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council approves accepting the extension and additional funds and Chief Thomas E. Smith to implement these changes under the Joint Powers Agreement with Ramsey County.
