Appeal of Ronald Okenfuss to a Request For Fence Variance at 928 COMO AVENUE.

 

Date/Time of 1st LH:  December 15, 2015 3:00 P.M.

Purpose of Appeal:  Requesting a heigth variance for a latice type fence with a decorative pergola. The fence is consistent with the character of the neighborhood and the surrounding buildings and fences on the neighboring property. Steve Ubl recommended an appeal.

Legislative Hearing Staff Comments:  No hearing necessary.

Variance Recommendation:  Yes, fence may be up to 8 feet in height, taking into consideration the top 15 inches of the fence is decorative in nature, it is not obstructive or does not have the effect of decreasing the overall stabiilty of the fence.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Ronald Okenfuss to a Request For Fence Variance at 928 COMO AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant the appeal; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
