Title

Authorizing an increase in the Parks and Recreation Grant Fund Budget in the amount of $25,825, to reflect additional multi-year funding received from various private grants, for the expansion of youth work in the City’s North End and Payne Maryland neighborhoods.

 

Body

WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to continue expanding its effective youth work model into the City's North End and Payne Maryland neighborhoods; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has received additional funding in the amount of $25,825 to be used toward the Youthprise Program; and

 

WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has developed a spending plan to best utilize this additional funding and therefore wishes to increase both financing and spending budgets by $25,825; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.01 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $25,825 in excess of those estimated in the current Grant Budget; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes acceptance of the grant funds and approves these amendments for the Life-to-date Grant Budget.
