Designating September 27, 2015 as Marguerite Pramann Day in the City of Saint Paul.
Body
WHEREAS, Marguerite Pramann has been a valued member of Hamline Church United Methodist since 1956; and
WHEREAS, Marguerite Pramann has served the region in providing leadership in Christian education and service, including in her roles as director of religious education at the Minnesota Council of Churches and St. Paul Area Council of Churches, and
WHEREAS, Marguerite Pramann served Hamline Church as its historian and continues to play an active on a church committee dedicated to preserving Hamline Church’s history, and
WHEREAS, Marguerite Pramann has served in women’s leadership roles at Hamline Church, including chairing the Wesleyan Service Guild, and
WHEREAS, Marguerite Pramann continues to be an active volunteer with what is now the Hamline Church Women/United Methodist Women’s group, helping with everything from UMW Sunday to the spring and pre-Christmas cookie walks, and
WHEREAS, Marguerite Pramann has been active for many years in regional UMW activities and continues to be a positive and engaged representative for Hamline Church at the district level, and
WHEREAS, Marguerite Pramann has been active in many forms of mission work, including a three-week project in 1990 with Operation Classroom to help rebuild an elementary school in Sierra Leonel, and
WHEREAS, Marguerite Pramann has played a vital role in helping all around Hamline Church over the years, including the Minnesota State Fair Dining Hall, church committees, adult education and too many other activities to count,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Saint Paul City Council declares Sunday, September 27, 2015, Margeurite Pramann Day in the City of Saint Paul.
