Authorizing an increase in 2015 spending authority in the amount of $12,000 for the Department of Parks and Recreation Grants Budget to recognize grant funding from the Capitol Region Watershed District.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking spending authority to recognize grant funding from Capitol Region Watershed District; and
WHEREAS, Capitol Region Watershed District committed $12,000 in grant funds to the City of Saint Paul to conduct water-themed environmental education and stewardship with recreation center youth at the Como Woodland Outdoor Classroom and Trout Brook Nature Sanctuary; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, in accordance with Section 10.07.1 of the City Charter, certifies that there are revenues available for appropriation totaling $12,000 in excess of the revenue estimated in the 2015 budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the appropriate city officials are hereby authorized to execute such agreements as may be necessary to accept this grant on behalf of the City; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that designated Parks and Recreation staff be given permission to authorize spending authority of $12,000, and that the Council of the City of Saint Paul approves these amendments to the 2015 budget.
