Approving funding for the Office of Human Resources to provide food/beverages for citywide mandated Racial Equity Training sessions for city employees.
Body
WHEREAS, the Mayor has set a goal of having all city staff trained in foundational racial equity practices;
WHEREAS, the trainings are required for city staff and are full-day trainings;
WHEREAS, providing food and beverages during the training sessions enables sessions to take place efficiently and without disrupting work; and
WHEREAS, these funds for citywide racial equity training are held on behalf of all departemnts in the Human Resources department budget; and
WHEREAS, these trainings will occur periodically throughout 2015;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Office of Human Resources is authorized to spend an amount not to exceed $15 per day per person for food and beverages for employees attending all-day racial equity training.
