Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Public Works City Grants Fund in the amount of $44,526 for grant funds award in 2014 and an in-kind match.
Body
WHEREAS, RES 14-1244, authorized the City of Saint Paul to accept funds from Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) Environmental Assistance Grant in the amount of $35,000 for the intent to hire a solid waste education and outreach specialist to conduct waste education outreach, and
WHEREAS, the recycling fund will make up the remaining amount of money for the outreach specialist in the amount of $9,526, and
WHEREAS, these grant funds were awarded in 2014, but due to the grant agreement not being fully executed until January of 2015, funding had not been set up, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $44,526 in the City Grants Fund; so
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor, that $44,526 is available for appropriation in the City Grants Fund, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
