Preliminary Order setting the date of City Council Public Hearing for March 4, 2015 to consider approval of improvements on Ford Parkway from 350' west of Howell Street to Snelling Avenue. (File No. 19100, Assessment No. 155401)

In the matter of constructing new bituminous surfaced street with concrete curb and gutter, concrete driveway aprons and outwalks, and boulevards landscaped with sod and trees. The existing lantern lights will be replaced with new lantern style street lighting system as part of the project. New traffic signals will be constructed at Fairview and Snelling. In addition, appropriate storm and sanitary sewer main repairs will be made, lead water services in the right of way will be replaced, and sanitary sewer service repairs will be made at the request of property owners.
Also as part of the project, special attention will be paid to bringing the existing pedestrian ramps up to current ADA standards, with 2 separate ramps in line with the sidewalk in both directions, and with a truncated dome surface.
This is a Ramsey County project and will be designed by them and they will perform the construction administration. The majority of the project is also funded by Ramsey County.
The Council of the City of Saint Paul, having received the report of the Mayor upon the above improvement and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $4,213,034, financed by Ramsey County, St. Paul Regional Water Services, St. Paul Sewer, St Paul Signals and assessments.
2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 4th day of March, 2015, at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul.
