Authorizing the Mayor's Environmental Policy Director to apply for a Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) Environmental Assistance Grant Focus Area F, Communities Adapting to Climate Change and Extreme Weather.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), under its FY 14-15 Environmental Assistance Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the grant application project intent is to hire a consultant to develop a strategic planning framework for climate resiliency; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul is committed to implementing the proposed project as described in the grant application; and
WHEREAS, MPCA requires the City of Saint Paul enter into a grant agreement with the MPCA that identifies the terms and conditions of the funding award; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor's Office is hereby authorized to apply for and accept grant funds from the MPCA for climate resiliency planning, and the proper city officials are authorized to execute any agreements required.
