Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept a donation of plant material valued at $1,200 from HandsOn Twin Cities, to plant at Como Regional Park.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Parks and Recreation has maintained a cooperative partnership with the non-profit organization, HandsOn Twin Cities; and
WHEREAS, it is the mission of HandsOn Twin Cities (HOTC) to "bring people together to strengthen communities through meaningful volunteer action"; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Environmental Services program partnered with HOTC to install plants at Como Regional Park in 2014; and
WHEREAS, HandsOn Twin Cities wishes to donate plant material valued at $1,200; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts plant material valued at $1,200 from Hands on Twin Cities to plant in Como Regional Park, and thanks HandsOn Twin Cities for its generous donation.
