Authorizing the City to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with each of the participating sites for the 2014-2015 VISTA program year.
 
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul will enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) for the period of the 2014-2015 VISTA program year, pursuant to which it will act as a Sponsor organization; and
WHEREAS,the following organizations will be Participating Sites,  with a VISTA member placed at each Site, and each Participating Site will contribute cost-share funding for the position (as indicated);
* Big Brothers Big Sisters ($11,796 cost-share)
* Breakthrough Twin Cities ($2,000 cost-share)
* CLUES ($4,000 cost-share)
* ComMUSICation ($4,000 cost-share)
* Cycles for Change ($4,000 cost-share)
* Fred Wells Tennis and Education Center ($4,000 cost-share)
* Higher Ground Academy ($4,000 cost-share)
* Maxfield Elementary ($5,898 cost-share)
* Minnesota Urban Debate League (2 VISTAs / $8,000 cost-share)
* Oromo Community of Minnesota ($4,000 cost-share)
* Right Track / SPPR ($4,000 cost-share)
* Sanneh Foundation ($4,000 cost-share)
* Science Museum of Minnesota ($4,000 cost-share)
* SPPS, Adult Basic Education - Hubbs Center ($4,000 cost-share)
* SPPS, Office of Family Engagement and Community Partnerships (2 VISTAs / $8,000 cost-share)
* Sprockets / SPPL ($4,000 cost-share)
* Urban Boatbuilders (2 VISTAs / $8,000 cost-share)
* Saint Paul Mayor's Office / VISTA Leader (program sponsor / no cost-share), and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the process and obtain funds from the Participating Sites the City needs to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with each Participating Site; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul supports Saint Paul VISTA Program involvement and authorizes the appropriate city officials to enter into the attached Memorandum of Understanding with each of the listed organizations.
