Body
WHEREAS, on February 5, 2014, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File #RLH FCO 14-5, said Resolution being the memorialization of an appeal to a Vacant Building Registration Requirement for property at 405 Jessamine Avenue East; and
 
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing recommended in RLH FCO 14-5 that the City Council deny the appeal and waive the vacant building fee until February 15, 2014 and allow for the property to be removed from the Vacant Building Program, provided the Fire Certificate of Occupancy is reinstated by February 15, 2014; and
 
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council considered the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter and adopted the recommendation; and
 
WHEREAS, the Appellant is requesting additional extension for the compliance; and
 
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends 1) granting an extension to April 1, 2013 to get Fire Certificate of Occupancy reinstated; 2) if the Certificate of Occupancy is reinstated in that time period, the legislative hearing officer will recommend reduction of the vacant building fee from $1440 to $500; and 3) all Fire Certificate of Occupancy fees will be due and owing upon billing; Now Therefore, Be It,
 
RESOLVED, that the City Council adopts the recommendation of the Legislative Hearing Officer.
