Authorizing the Police Department to enter into an agreement with Ramsey County, Emergency Communications Center, establishing procedures for actions related to the CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) and NCIC (National Criminal Information Center) hot file policy.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department (SPPD) wishes to enter into an agreement with Ramsey County, Emergency Communications Center (ECC), and
WHEREAS, this agreement establishes the procedures and responsibilities of each agency for the actions in regards to CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) and NCIC National Criminal Information Center) hot file policy, and
WHEREAS, the hot files include stolen vehicle, weapons, qualifying articles, missing person and juvenile runaway entries, cancellations and hit confirmations; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the council approves entering into and authorizes Chief Thomas Smith to implement the agreement with Ramsey County, Emergency Communications Center.
