Resolution Authorizing the 2013 Budget Amendment for the Citywide Streetcar Feasibility Study.

WHEREAS, on March 21, 2012, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota, adopted Resolution PH 12-57, through which it accepted $233,000 in streetcar planning funds from various sources and pledged to provide $17,000 in then-unidentified matching funds; and
WHEREAS, staff has since identified $17,000 in available funds from the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota's (HRA) 2013 Parking Fund unrestricted cash balance; and
WHEREAS, the HRA's Board of Commissioners now desires to amend the 2013 HRA budget to transfer the identified $17,000 from the HRA Parking Fund (Fund 119) to the Streetcar Study project fund (Fund 101), to be used for the public purpose of providing the pledged matching funds for these streetcar planning activities,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota, that the budget amendment described in Attachment A is approved and adopted, and that HRA staff and legal counsel are authorized and directed to take any actions required to implement this Resolution.
