Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to thank community partners and receive funds supporting the hanging basket and Blooming Saint Paul programs.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Department of Parks and Recreation helps to beautify the city through the Blooming Saint Paul program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, through the Blooming Saint Paul program, provides garden maintenance services to various community groups and businesses with plantings in public spaces or on City property; and
WHEREAS, community groups and businesses are providing monies for these services and purchasing of horticultural material as follows:

WHEREAS, it is the Department of Parks and Recreation's intention to accept monies into the 2012 budget in order to expend the monies; and
WHEREAS, these monies will allow the Blooming Saint Paul program to continue with these projects; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the City Council accepts the donations and thanks the various community groups and businesses for their generous support.
