Resolution Authorizing Acceptance of a Grant from the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for the Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program. (Citywide)

WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (HRA) has been offered from the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency (MHFA) funding for administrative costs for counselors for the Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the HRA Board of Commissioners takes the following action:
1. Authorizes the acceptance of $30,000 (FPAP Counseling) from MHFA to provide services under the Homeownership Education and Training (HECAT) Fund for the program year 2012-2013.
2. Authorizes the HRA Executive Director or her designee to finalize financing terms, conditions and other provisions for HRA to participate in the Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program activities.
