Authorizing the acceptance of a $889 scholarship grant from the Minnesota State Historical Society for a Heritage Preservation Commissioner to attend the 32nd Annual Statewide Preservation Conference, September 13-14, 2012.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Planning and Economic Development (PED) will incur costs for one member of the City's Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC) to attend the 32nd Annual Statewide Historic Preservation Conference in downtown Fergus Falls, Minnesota on September 13 through September 14, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Historical Society is willing to provide a scholarship to the City for the costs of attendance by the HPC Commissioner, anticipated not to exceed $889.00; with the remainder to be provided through PED's FY2012 Administrative Fund 126 Budget.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council authorizes PED to apply for, accept and enter into a grant agreement with the Minnesota Historical Society; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Council of the City of Saint Paul wish to recognize the Minnesota State Historical Society for its ongoing preservation work, and thank the Society for their generous assistance.
