Title
Authorizing the Police Department to enter into an amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement with the State of Minnesota, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (CF 10-1319) Criminal Justice Data Communications network.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department has received an amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement (Criminal Justice Data Communications Network (CJDN) Subscriber Agreement) with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) (CF 10-1319, State Contract # DPS-M-0951); and,
WHEREAS, the BCA has entered into a separate agreement with courts that delegate to the BCA the authority to enter into an agreement and to amend the Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Saint Paul Police Department to cover court data to further streamline the department's use of systems and tools that include court data; and
WHEREAS, by amending this agreement the department will be allowed to start using the Integrated Search Services (ISS), and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that council accepts this grant amendment and authorizes the City of Saint Paul to enter into, and Chief Thomas Smith to implement the attached amendment with the State of Minnesota.
