Accepting Tax Base Revitalization Account Grants from the Metropolitan Council for the Starkey and Midway Corners sites, and a Contamination Cleanup Grant from the Department of Employment and Economic Development for the East River Development site, and amending the 2012 Budget.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Council on April 25, 2012, by Resolution number 12-702 authorized the Director of the Department of Planning and Economic Development to apply to the Metropolitan Council for Tax Base Revitalization Account grants and to the Department of Employment and Economic Development for Contamination Cleanup grants; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council approved Tax Base Revitalization grants of $171,800 for the Starkey site and $210,400 for the Midway Corner site, and the Department of Employment and Economic Development approved a Contamination Cleanup grant of $84,750 for the East River Development site; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does hereby certify that $466,950 in funds are available for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2012 budget and recommends the changes to the 2012 budget identified on Attachment A:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul accepts these grants and approves the changes identified on Attachment A to the 2012 budget.
