Authorizing the Saint Paul Public Library Agency to hold volunteer recognition events.
Body
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Public Library volunteers enhance services that are provided by offering a wide variety of talents, skills and time to assist in Library programs and tasks, and
WHEREAS, about 858 adult and 149 youth volunteers contributed over 28,700 hours in 2011, and
WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Public Library will hold a volunteer recognition dinner program at the Crowne Plaza Saint Paul - Riverfront on May 16, 2012 and a youth volunteer pizza party recognition in the fall of 2012, and
WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Public Library has received monies from The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library to pay for the events,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, It is ordered that library officials are authorized and directed to undertake the staging of the events and remit the cost not to exceed $13,500 for the program to the proper parties.
