Appeal of Kathryn Christopherson, on behalf of International Institute of Minnesota, to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Inspection Correction Notice at 1694 COMO AVENUE.
Purpose of Appeal
We removed the door years ago because its placement resulted in a safety hazard to person's walking past the doorway. The stairwell is between the reception area and the first floor bathrooms and provides access to a lunchroom utilized by students. The doorway would open onto an area that has heavy traffic and would present a safety hazard.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of International Institute of Minnesota to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Inspection Correction Notice at 1694 COMO AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal and grant an extension for 120 days for compliance; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
