Title

Appeal of James Swartwood to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 729 FOURTH STREET EAST.

Date/Time of 1st LH:  Tuesday, August 13, 2024, 1:00 p.m., Room 330 City Hall

Purpose of Appeal:  On the 1st of August, the lease for the 729 4th Street tenant had ended and the tenant was moving out of Fourth Street.  In the middle of his move, fire inspector Daryl Chute found the property unlocked, the tenant having just left with a load of furniture, and without calling, the property manager Cal Prince or myself--numbers he called when he needed something in the near past--had the city damage a historic building by securing all doors and declaring it a vacant building.
