WHEREAS, Ecolab, a company that was established on March 10, 1923 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, has grown into a global science and sustainability leader with 47,000 associates and operations in more than 170 countries; and

WHEREAS, Ecolab has throughout its history demonstrated a strong commitment to its associates, customers, and community, and has developed a reputation for innovation, integrity, and outstanding customer service; and

WHEREAS, Ecolab, which employs 1,100 scientists, engineers and technical specialists to take Minnesota innovation to the world, has contributed significantly to the economic growth and development of the City of Saint Paul and the State of Minnesota; and

WHEREAS, Ecolab has been an important part of its community supporting charitable causes and local organizations, while investing in a future that is more diverse, equitable and business practices that improve the health of people and the planet; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED that the City of Saint Paul recognizes and honors Ecolab on its 100^th anniversary and extends its congratulations and best wishes to the company, its associates, and its customers on this significant milestone.
