Authorizing the City to grant a Temporary Revocable License on behalf of the Police Department (SPPD) for lease of 235 Maryland Avenue East, Saint Paul, MN with Shindler/West Finance Partners for canine training.

WHEREAS, Shidler Shidler/West Finance Partners V, Limited Partnership (“Shidler”), whose address is 1 Lincoln Plaza, Ste. 37 KL, New York, New York 10023-7140, owns the former K-Mart facility located at 235 Maryland Avenue East, Saint Paul, Minnesota (the “Access Property”), as shown on the attached Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the City is seeking to obtain a temporary, revocable license for its Saint Paul Police Department K-9 unit to use the Access Property for training purposes (“License”); and
WHEREAS, Shidler wishes to grant the License to the City for this purpose, subject to any and all conditions as set forth herein; and
WHEREAS, Shidler wishes to cooperate in, and does not wish to delay, the City’s use of the License; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, Shidler hereby grants to the City this License for the City’s use of the Access Property for the sole purpose of K-9 training, subject to the terms and conditions as specified in the attached temporary license agreement.
