Title

Authorizing the Department of Safety and Inspections to accept a grant in the amount of $65,000 from the Minnesota Department of Labor, to participate in the 2023 Building Official Training (BOT) grant program.

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Safety and Inspections, has been awarded a grant in the amount of $65,000 which requires no matching funds; and

 

WHEREAS, this grant provides an opportunity to invest in the professional development of a building official with the intention of employment after the training has concluded; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation total revenues in excess of those estimated in the budget, funds of $65,000 in the Safety and Inspections General Fund.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor that $65,000 is available for appropriation in the Safety and Inspections General Fund, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
