Authorizing the City to enter into a Delegated Contract Process Agency Agreement with the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul receives federal aid participation to finance eligible transportation-related projects; and
WHEREAS, the City desires that the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) act as the City's agent in accepting federal aid on the City's behalf for the construction, improvement or enhancement of the transportation system financed either whole or in part by federal funds; and
WHEREAS, the previous Delegated Contract Process Agency Agreement No.1030098 authorized by Council Resolution 18-75 will be superseded by this Agreement No.1052196; and
WHEREAS, this Agreement contains an indemnification clause in favor of MnDOT, which the Council finds reasonable and appropriate; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that pursuant to Minnesota Stat. Sec. 161.36 the Commissioner of Transportation be appointed as the Agent of the City of Saint Paul to accept as its agent, federal aid funds which may be made available for eligible transportation related projects; and be it finally
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into MnDOT Agreement No.1052196, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and be it finally
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
